Harris, Joseph

Joseph (Joe) Harris of Christiansburg, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home in the early morning hours of August 23rd, 2025.

He was born October 4th, 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland to his mother Natalie Oxendine and his father Billy Joe Harris. Joe is preceded in death by his mother Natalie.

Joe was a long-time employee of Terminix in Roanoke. He was THE biggest fan of the Baltimore Ravens, and a Hokie all the way through. He was an avid golfer, lover of music, a few cold beers, and a foodie to the max.

Left to carry his memory are his father Billy Joe Harris of Salisbury, MD, his loving wife Karen Harris of Christiansburg, son Michael Lewandowski (Sara) of Pulaski, daughter Jessica Lewandowski (Jamie) of Radford, grandchildren Jackson and Cora Lewandowski, Kellan Walker, and Nate Lewandowski (Jazzmyn), brothers Quinnie Dial (Nicole) and Shane Dial (Stacy), sisters Sandy Clark, and Joanne Harris, many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, golf buddies, co-workers, and his beloved soul-dog Reds.

Services will take place at Horne Funeral Home 1300 North Franklin Street Christiansburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Thursday August 28th from 4:00pm-5:00pm followed by a celebration of life at 5:00pm. We encourage everyone to come as they are, and to dress comfortably and casually. (Raven’s or football gear if you’re able).
