Grubb, Clyde Elbert

Clyde Elbert Grubb, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Highland Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dublin Va.

Clyde was born in Pulaski, Va., on March 17, 1919, and was the son of the late Henry A. and Lucy H. Grubb. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella P. Grubb; four sisters, and five brothers.

Clyde was a lifelong resident of Pulaski and worked for the Ford Motor Company, Radford Army Ammunition Plant, and New River Oil Company. During World War II, he served in the Navy. Clyde was a member of the Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church and a former member of the Rose of Sharon Lodge, Number 4.

Surviving are his daughter, Neferlyn Gray, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian G. Miller, Pulaski and Mrs. Mable G. (Milton) Clark, Dublin; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mable T. Grubb, Lilburn, Ga.; his caregiver and devoted nephew, Everett L. (Rosemma) Grubb, Sr., Pulaski; many nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews, relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. Interment will be at Pinehurst Cemetery, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church, 1607 Randolph Avenue NW, Pulaski, Va. 24301. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral.
