GRAVLEY, Damon Draper

Damon Draper Gravley, 50, Huntington, Ind. died on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at 10:30 p.m. at his residence. Mr. Gravley was born on Nov. 1, 1955 in Radford, Va. to Coagle and Mary Hanks Gravley. His mother, Mary Hanks, survives in Mt. Airy, N. C.

Mr. Gravley married Joyce Ackerman Wohlford on July 31, 1991. She survives and lives in Huntington.

Mr. Gravley was a Journeyman Electrician, I.B.E.W. Local 342, Winston-Salem, N. C. for 20 years prior to his retirement on Oct. 23, 2003.

Surviving are: one son, Michael D. Gravley, Huntington, Ind.; one daughter, Amanda A. McClurg, Huntington, Ind.; two step-sons, Andrew Wohlford, Osceola, Ind. and Martin Wohlford, Ft. Hood, Texas; one step-daughter, Christina Enger, Knox, Ind.; four brothers, C. Van Gravley, Pulaski, Alden D. Gravley, Elkin, N.C., Vincent M. Gravley, Dublin, Jarvis J. Gravley, Pulaski; four sisters, Mrs. Tom (Jane) Hawks, Mt. Airy, N.C., Iva Croats, Mt. Airy, N.C., Mrs. Terry (Sheila) Eversole, Pulaski, Gracie Gravley, Mt. Airy, N.C.; one grandchild and 9 step-grandchildren.

Calling will be on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. with services at 5 p.m. at the McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, Ind. with Dr. Richard Lofgren, presiding.

Visitation will also be held Friday, Feb. 10, at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski with Rev. Terrie Sternberg officiating. Burial will follow in Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to ?Feed the Poor? in care of St. Peter Lutheran Church, 605 Polk Street, Huntington, Ind. 46750.
