Glass, Carl Eugene

Carl Eugene (Gene) Glass, 80, of Pulaski, passed away at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was born July 16, 1932, in Meadowview to the late Henry and Betty Humphrey Glass. He was also preceded in death by three brothers; Clyde Glass, Emit Glass, and Garland Glass.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Maxie Glass; two daughters and son-in-laws, Janice and Jack King, of Pulaski and Gail and Ricky Wright, of Dublin; grandson Gene King and wife, Suellen, and grandson Cody Wright; two great-grandchildren, Beth and Josh King; sisters and brother-in-law, Genevieve and Lewis Walden, Margie Poole, Luella Wolfe, and Jane Belcher; two brothers and sister-in-law, Alfred and Sue Glass, and Frank Glass; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walt and Jan Talbert; two sister-in-laws, Blanche Whittington and Frances Glass; and two special coon hunting buddies, Horace Thornton and Jerry Thornton, of Dublin.

He was a member of Family Worship Center in Pulaski.

The family would like to thank his church family, employees of Lewis-Gale Hospital, Pulaski Skilled Nursing, Dr. Bradley and Dr. Stein, for the care of our husband and father. A special thank you to the nurses of hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012, from The Family Worship Center, Memorial Dr., Pulaski, with Dr. Conner officiating. Burial will follow in The Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Saturday from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m..
