Gearheart, Ralph Everett

Ralph Everett Gearheart, 79, of Pilot, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 29, 2006. He was a retired employee of VDOT.

He is survived by his wife, Edna T. Gearheart; a daughter, Peggy L. Gearheart Sargent; one son, Kenneth W. Taylor; grandsons, Robbie Sargent, and Eric Taylor; a sister-in-law, Virginia Martin; close friends, John Broyles, Ashley Brown, Jim and Monica Weshoh and Bill and Kim Delaney; four nieces; and six nephews.

The family will receive from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2006 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Huffville Cemetery, Floyd County.
