Gardner, Duane Everett

Duane Everett Gardner, 41, of Christiansburg, Va., departed this life for his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 21, 2006. He was born to Fred Everett and Hazel Gertrude Gardner on November 13, 1964. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Lisa Gardner; one daughter, Alyssa Mercedes Gardner; and three stepchildren, Kenny Bailey, Amber Bailey and Tamara Bailey; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Allen and Wanda Gardner, Christiansburg; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Epperly of Elliston, Va.; two brothers-in-law, Donald Epperly of Riner, Robert Epperly and wife, Shelby of Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Bonnie StClair of Christiansburg; a niece, Tiffany Epperly; a nephew, Jerry Caldwell, Jr.; his best friend, Kevin Harris and his parents, Ronnie and Linda Harris of Christiansburg.

He was the owner of Christiansburg Paving and Gardner Asphalt Sealing and was a member of the Christiansburg Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, at the Christiansburg Church of Christ conducted by Mr. Dennis Curd. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
