Flinchum, Rev. Archie Eddie

Rev. Archie Eddie Flinchum, 72, of Hiwassee, Va. died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in the New River Valley Medical Center, Radford.

He was born in Pulaski County on June 28, 1935 and was the son of the late Edward James Flinchum and Bessie Jane Thornton Flinchum. He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry with 24 years of service and was a radio evangelist for 35 years in the New River Valley.

Surviving are: his wife of 50 years, Beulah Nunn Flinchum; two daughters, Connie and Walter Kegley, Barbara and Paul Gravley; four sons, Steve and Patricia Flinchum, Pastor Jerry Flinchum, Danny Flinchum, Rocky Flinchum; two brothers, Corbie Flinchum, Washington, D. C., Norbie Flinchum, Lexington, N.C.; half-brother, Roger Flinchum, Elliston, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with Evangelist Gary Profitt, Evangelist Alfred Reed and Pastor David Butcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Flinchum Family Cemetery, Hiwassee. Visiting will be Friday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
