Fayne, John Henry

John Henry Fayne, 88, of Floyd, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Skyline Manor Nursing Home. Mr. Fayne was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Akers Fayne.

He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Pattie Reed, of Floyd, Mary Alice Akers, of Hillsville, and Linda and James Duncan, of Christiansburg; brothers-in-law, Henry Akers and Russell Akers, both of Floyd; two nephews and wives, Edsel and Virginia Walker, of Midlothian, Va., and Vastene and Mary Walker, of Pulaski; two nieces and husbands, Helen and Freeman Cockram, of Floyd, and Shirley and Harry Sears, Mt. Carbon, W.Va.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July, 11, 2006 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at the Sowers Cemetery. Friends may call at Gardner Funeral Home Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be no night visitation. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home Tuesday 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
