EDMONDS, George Thomas
George Thomas Edmonds, 76, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at his home in Radford.
He was an active member of Grove United Methodist Church serving on many committees and groups. Mr. Edmonds career was in printing with Edmonds Printing Company of Pulaski, VA Tech Printing Services, and Radford University Printing Services of more than 50 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Earnest and Margaret Nelson Edmonds; a brother, David Eugene Edmonds; and a sister, Margaret Lou Edmonds Von Cannon. Survivors include a son, Thomas Michael Edmonds of Christiansburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Margene Kay and Howard Fulton of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; his wife, Lois Edmonds of Radford; two stepdaughters and son-in-law, Lisa Martin Moser and Buster L. Moser of Christiansburg and Dianne Martin of Pearisburg; two grandchildren, Lauryn Patrice Fulton and Jackson Thomas Fulton; three stepgrandchildren, Michael James DeHart, Amburlea Moser and Elijah Todd Moser; and special cousins, Paul Edmonds of Pulaski, Nancy Edmonds Kegley of Wytheville and Bill Edmonds of Blacksburg.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Bennington officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Grove United Methodist Church.
