Draper, Ernest Ulester

Ernest Ulester Draper, 91, of 3635 Draper Lane, Pulaski, died Sunday morning, June 18, 2006 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born in Pulaski, Va. on Aug. 9, 1914 and was the son of the late James Sanford Draper and Sadie Lee Tickle Draper. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Adams Draper.

Mr. Draper was an employee of the Town of Pulaski with 35 years of service.

Surviving are: his children, Ernest S. Draper, Pulaski, Sadie Talbert, Pulaski, Mary Henderson, Dublin, Geneva Lundy, Dublin, Mildred Reeves, Pulaski, Madeline Dalton, Dublin, Ruth Thomas, Pulaski, David Draper, Max Meadows, Margaret Martin, Fairlawn, Wanda Carroll, Willis, Texas, Barbara Quesenberry, Pulaski; sister, Alma McGuire, Kingsport, Tenn.; 84 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. from the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Wythe Co., with the Rev. Ken Fogus and the Rev. Clayton Quesenberry officiating. There will be a graveside service Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County.

Visiting will be Tuesday at Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
