Dove, Claudia Alls

Claudia Alls Dove, 84, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, September 14, 2006, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Montgomery County on April 11, 1922 to the late Paris and Mary Davis Alls.

Mrs. Dove served as the Pastor’s wife, Secretary, and Treasurer of Mountain Top Mission Church, Christiansburg.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rev. Claude T. Dove, Sr. of Blacksburg; a daughter and fiance, Janice Dove Hodge and F. Kirk Litton of Christiansburg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Claude T. (Ted), Jr. and Diane McMahan Dove of Chesapeake, Va., Ernest (Ernie) W., Sr. and Eva Jo Epperly Dove of Norfolk, Va., Calvin R. and Darlene Poff Dove of Blacksburg; six grandchildren, Tim Dove and wife Kim, Connie Leis and husband Gene, Shanna Simmons and husband David, Wesley Dove and wife Chrissy, C. Nichole Hodge and Ashley Hodge; eight great-grandchildren, Marshall and Dillon Dove, Sarah and Austin Leis, Kara and Cory Simmons, Lauren and Weston Dove; two sisters, Helen Long, of Blacksburg, Va., Hazel Bland, of Roanoke, Va.; several nieces and nephews, and a very special niece and family, Emma and Roger Poff of Christiansburg, Va.

The family would like to thank the caregivers, Carole Akers, Thelma Albert, Kaye Doyle, Nancy Puckett, Pat Lovern, and Ruth Moore. Special thanks to Dr. Edwin Wilder and office staff and the Nursing Staff of Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Shockley and the Rev. Orville Meadows officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Saturday, and the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
