dickerson_sandra_turnerSandra Turner Dickerson, 65, of Fairlawn, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 15, 2010 after a three year courageous battle with kidney failure. She was born September 21, 1944 in Radford, Virginia to the late Harry L. and Audra S. Turner. Sandra was retired from the Radford Pipe Shop FCU after 36 years of being a loan officer, which she truly loved doing. She was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 46 years, Robert J. Dickerson, of Fairlawn; two daughters, Terri L. Fair and fianc?, Spencer Lewis, of Dublin, Lori Dickerson Ryan and husband, Ronnie, of Radford; seven grandchildren who Sandra loved and adored, Stephanie Finley Tibbs and husband, D.J., of Fairlawn, Courtney N. Whitt and husband, Jason, of Floyd, Tyler and Sean Finley, Oliver Love III, Keegan D. Fair and Jacob Z. Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Emily Tibbs and Hannah Whitt; brother David L. Turner, of Snowville; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy T. and Larry Dobbins, of Snowville. The family would like to thank all that have helped Sandra and her family during her illness, especially Dr. Allen Sklar. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Fairlawn United Methodist Church in Fairlawn, with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Fairlawn. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mullins Funeral Home.
