Dice, Lonnie

Lonnie Dice, 83, of Dublin went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2006 in the Pulaski Community Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born in Kentucky on July 15, 1923 and was the son of the late Shelby and Flora Dice. He was also preceded in death by four children, Andrew Dice, Carlos Dice, Rebecca Dice and Norma Jean Reece.

He was a member of the Dublin United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Mary Dice; children and spouses, Tammy and Jeff Saunders, Joe and Betty Dice, Roger and Elizabeth Dice, Jerlene and Eddie Oliver, Harrison and Judy Dice, Ricky and Samantha Dice, Mary and Lee Wall, and Norman Dice; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Dublin United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Roland and Pastor Mike Blouse officiating. Burial will follow in the Dublin Cemetery. Visiting will be Tuesday evening from the church where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. The family will be meeting at the home of his daughter, Tammy Saunders, 5634 Pine Grove Drive, Dublin.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dublin United Methodist Church. The family also would like to express their great appreciation to the Pulaski Community Hospital ICU unit and to Dr. Chan for all their care. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
