DALTON, Harlen Chesley

Harlen C. Dalton, age 79 of Pulaski passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Dublin. Born May 10, 1927 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late James Dalton and Inez Carpenter Dalton. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Wayne Dalton Montgomery, Velma Dalton Tolbert; one brother, Leemon Dalton; three half- brothers, Harry Dalton, Johnson Dalton ,and Bill Dalton; one step daughter, Judy Viars, two grandsons and two step-grandsons. He was retired from Pulaski Furniture Company with over 30 years of service. Surviving are his ex-wife, Ruby T. Dalton, Pulaski; daughters, Patsy D. Horton & husband, Donald, Roanoke, Barbara D. Lawson, Pulaski, Jane D. Perkins & husband, Phillip, Pulaski; sons, Michael Dalton & wife, Marie, New Llano, LA, Roy Leon Dalton & wife, Martha, Staffordsville, VA; step-sons, Burnie T. Lovern, Beckley, WV, Gene D. Tolbert, Pulaski; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; three sisters, Eula D. Mabe, Pulaski, Hestel Simpkins and husband, Shaffer, Indian Valley,VA, June Shockley, Woodlawn, VA; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 11 a.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Tommy Simpkins officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
