Cruise, Brinda DeLong

Brinda Gail Cruise, 40, of Lucas Road in Newport, departed this life Wednesday morning February 22, 2006 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Columbus, Ohio on September 10, 1965 she was a daughter of Nola Jane Luster DeLong and the late Robert Milton DeLong, Sr. She grew up in Inez, Martin Co., Ky.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Myron Payne Cruise; two daughters and a son-in-law Amber C. and John Thompson of Pearisburg and Ashley Cruise of Newport; her mother Nola Luster DeLong of Martin Co., Ky.; a brother Robert M. DeLong, Jr. of Pikeville, Ky.; a sister, Phyllis and husband Burnis Lowe of Martin Co., Ky.; her mother-in-law Virginia W. Cruise of Pearisburg; special friends Ruby L., Yogie, and Dustin Hanes of Cana; and a special nephew, Franklin DeLong.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Lucas Cemetery at Newport.
