Crowell, Douglas Repass
Douglas Repass Crowell, 79, of 2070 Twin Oaks, Pulaski died Saturday, Mar. 11, 2006 at home. He was born in Pulaski on Oct. 7, 1926 and was the son of the late O. O. Crowell and Thelma Repass Crowell.
He was a retired supervisor at RAAP and was a graduate from Virginia Tech. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Pulaski Elks Lodge and the Pulaski American Legion.
Surviving are: his wife, Melodean King Crowell, Pulaski; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy C. and Carlton Tester, Lynchburg; brother and sister-in-law, O. O. and Pat M. Crowell, Columbus, Ohio; sister-in-law, Helen H. King wife of the late Boyd L. King; special friends, Patty Anderson, Mary B. Bedwell, Jewell Shufflebarger and Sally and Issy Leptchitz.
Funeral service was held Monday at 7 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Terrie Sternburg and Rev. John Grimm officiating. Visiting was held Monday from the funeral home where the family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour. A graveside service will be held today Tuesday, Mar. 14 at 11 a.m. from Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
