Cragett, David Warren

David Warren Cragett, 83, of Christiansburg, died, Friday, May 12, 2006, at New River Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Montgomery County on December 9, 1922. He was a veteran of W.W.II having served in the US Army and retired from Hercules after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth C. Cragett of Christiansburg; four children, Anna Rogers, Brenda Adkins, Ray Cragett, Patty Graham; seven grandchildren, Kara and Kristen Rogers, Brandon and Lindsey Adkins, Sherry, David, and Angela Graham; great-grandson Jacob Taylor; sister-in-law, Nannie Cragett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Bond and Kevin Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Sunday, and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
