craft_norman_eugeneNorman Eugene (Corky) Craft, 59, of Pulaski Va., died on Friday, January 15, 2010, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lowmoon, Va. to the late Leonard Eugene Craft and the late Lorraine Smith Huffman. He was the owner of New River Valley Insurance and loved servicing his clients until his recent disability. Corky is survived by his soulmate and loving wife, Cindy. He is also survived by a son, Mathew Craft; stepdaughter, Dana and Yancey Ruble; stepsons, Danny, Shevey, and Troy Hazelwood and Holly; grandson, Drew Craft and grandson, Brian Lawson and Andrea; granddaughter, Lexie Ruble; grandson, Nicholas Ruble and Sebastian Ruble; and granddaughters, Brianna and Savannah Hazelwood. In addition Corky’s wonderful family, sisters, Joyce and Wade Hayslett; sister, Debbie Fischer; sister, Susie Kelley; brother, Buster Craft and Lisa; sister, Cathy and Chris Lartch; sister, Bobie and Berkley Garrett; brother, Michael and Maggie Craft; and brother, Darrell Wayne and Kim Craft; also greatgranddaughters, Maggie and Makaya. He was so loved and had many cousins, aunts, and uncles, especially peanut. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Sunday from the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Rocky Mount, Va. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 p.m. until service hour. A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the church cemetery. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Pulaski.
