James ‘Jim’ “Corky” Corcoran, of Christiansburg, VA, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the age of 86. James is formerly of Berlin and Ocean City, New Jersey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Francis and Maria Alice Corcoran; brother, William Francis ‘Bill’ Corcoran.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nan Jean Corcoran; sons, Jim Corcoran and wife Kim, Sean Corcoran and wife Aimee, Scott Corcoran and wife Heather; grandchildren, Jim and fiancée Kristen, Christopher and fiancée Adriana, Desiree and fiancé Michael, William, Ethan, Jacob, Matthew, Daniel, and Thomas Corcoran; great-grandchild, Jimmy Corcoran; sister, Barbara Corcoran Maguire; many nieces and nephews.

James served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. He worked at Western Electric/AT & T for 40 years. He was a soccer coach in Berlin, New Jersey and was a star football player in Lower Camden County Regional High School. He was also a member of the Mershon organization. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 5:30 pm at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 475 Clearview Dr, Christiansburg VA 24073.
