COLE, Bobby Harman

Bobby Harman Cole, 70, of Christiansburg, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Montgomery Regional Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer and leukemia.

Bobby proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Federal Mogul and Hubbell Lighting. He was an avid sportsman and race car fan. Bobby was a friend to all and will be missed by many.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy E. Cole; his son, Travis; daughter, Sabrina; and granddaughter, Galen Cole. He is survived by two brothers and their wives, Charles E. and Dot Cole, Georgia, Lee and Norma Cole, Pilot; his sister-in-law, Connie E. Turner, Christiansburg; mother-in-law, Alma H. Epperly, Roanoke. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Doug and Vada Cole in 1963; his infant daughter, Tracie, in 1976, and his brother, Don, in 1999.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Montgomery Regional Hospital and, most especially, the 2nd floor nursing and respiratory staff for their care and concern during his illness. The family deeply appreciates the services of Dr. Harry E. McCoy and his staff and Dr. Jose’ Rivero.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev.
