Lloyd Henry (Buddy) Christian, 73, of Blacksburg, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

An avid Hokie and NASCAR fan, he drove for Clinton North American Van Lines for over thirty years. In 1982 he was named the number one driver of the year in the moving division of North American Van Lines.

The son of the late Lloyd and Edna S. Christian, he was also preceded in death by a brother James. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Lewis Horowitz, Panama City, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Georgia Christian, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Earl Stone, Gary, W.Va.; a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Ruby Christian, Pounding Mill, Va.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
