Camden, Richard Watson

Richard Watson Camden, 73, of Pulaski, Va., died Friday evening, July 2, 2010, at his residence. He was born April 21, 1937, in Alleghany, Va., and was the son of the late Josephine Holcolmb Camden and Ashby D. Camden. Richard was a retired contractor having worked for many oil companies in Northern Virginia. He was a devoted member to the First Christian Church (DOC) in Pulaski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Camden. He is survived by his loving wife, Eileen F. Camden, of Pulaski; a son, Kurt L. Camden and his wife, Karen, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two brothers, B.J. Camden, of White Sulfur Springs, W.Va., and Paul Camden and his wife, Twilla, of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Martha C. Terry, of Covington, and Georgianna “Sis” Morgan, of Front Royal. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Amie C. Gardner and her husband, Ed, of Mansfield, Mass., and Meagan Camden, of Gaithersburg, Md.; and three great-grandchildren, Jerred, Brandon and Adam Gardner. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church, (DOC), in Pulaski with the Rev. Randy Winn officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the First Christian Church, P.O.
