Burke, Gladys McPeak

Gladys McPeak Burke, 71 of Pulaski, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2006. She was a member of Newbern Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Carson Burke, Jr., two brothers, Lawrence and James McPeak, a sister, Vernie Atkins, and two stepsisters, Thelma Powers and Margaret Martin.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Malinda Burke of Pulaski and Richard and Carolyn Burke of Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Todd Brown of Dublin; six grandchildren, Heather, Nikki, Scott, and Cory Burke and Cody and Macayla Brown; a brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Patricia McPeak of Pulaski; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and James Tolbert of Dublin, and Frances and Bob Shockney of Maryland; three step sisters, Emmogene McPeak of Pulaski, Mary Kate Christian of Dublin, and Eva Jay and Emmett Tolbert of Pulaski; and a step-brother, Mancel Burke.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Life Harvest Ministries Church with Rev. Dallas Vines officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. The family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
