Bratton, Frank Hampton
Frank Hampton Bratton, 83 of Pulaski went to meet the Lord and his wife Stella, Sunday, January 1, 2006. He was born September 1, 1922 in Pulaski. He was the son of the late Hubert and Lena Ayers Bratton. His wife of 61 years, Stella Effie Ratcliffe Bratton, one son, Robert F. “Bobby” Bratton and one sister, Bertha Akers, precedes him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during WW II. Mr. Bratton was a member of the Bob White Blvd. Church of God, Pulaski.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Tommy Mabry, Pulaski; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Brenda Bratton, Dublin; two grandsons, Shane Mabry, Pulaski and Robert Edward Bratton and wife, Vonda of Boones Mill; two granddaughters, Tabitha Bond, Roanoke, Deborah Shumate and husband, Mark of Draper; great-grandchildren, Kaylan Bond, Britt, Kristen and Lauren Shumate; brother, Buck Bratton and wife Reba, Pulaski; sisters Bonnie Simpkins, Pulaski, Dolly Grantham and husband David, Winston-Salem, N.C., Jeanette Bennett and husband, Ron, Raleigh, N.C.; daughter-in-law Brenda Bratton, Dublin.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with Rev. Larry Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with full military honors conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post #1184. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
