Bower, Rebecca Miller

Rebecca Miller Bower, born December 10, 1910, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Bower Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Fred L. II, and wife Lauretta, of Richmond and Ben T. of Blacksburg. She also leaves seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Rebecca was a member of Luther Memorial Church, the local, state and national United Daughters of the Confederacy, a local garden club, the Embroiderers Guild and two local knitting clubs. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Luther Memorial Church food pantry.

The family will receive visitors Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg. A memorial service will be held at Luther Memorial Church, Blacksburg at 11:30 on Monday.
