Jettie Mabel Board, 92, of Floyd, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horatio and Nancy Blackwell Board, brothers, Dewey, Herman and Parrot Board, sisters, Blanch Light, Hettie Conner, Leona Hess, Annie Lura Board, Margie Board and Edith Attaway Board.

Survivors include nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, Nancy Hess Mottesheard, Charlotte, N.C., Brenda Board Gearhart, Copper Hill, James Board of Florida, Wayne Board of Washington, Layne Board of Christiansburg, Daniel Board of Check, and Allen Board of Roanoke.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Layne Board officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
