BARKER, Juanita Sumler

Juanita Sumler (Dugie) Barker, 73, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006 at Lewis-Gale Hospital.

The daughter of the late James B. and Ethel Honaker Sumler she was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Ratcliff; a brother, George Sumler and a son, Gary Ray Barker.

She is survived by her husband, David Daniel Barker; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mike Dickerson, Brenda and Tommy Early; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Helen Barker, Donnie and Connie Barker all of Christiansburg; a daughter-in-law, Diana Barker, Pearisburg; a special sister, Dorothy Duncan, Christiansburg; sisters, Margaret Craft, Mary Linkous both of Christiansburg, Louise Montgomery, Clifton Forge; brothers, Don Sumler, Christiansburg; Roger Sumler and Lewis Sumler, both of Georgia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2006 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev.
