Arnold, Sr., John E.

John E. Arnold, Sr., 58, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of New River, Va., who has lived in Columbus for the past 30 years died January 17, 2006 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital.

Mr. Arnold was born in New River, Va. on December 23, 1947 to the late Winston and Beatrice Arnold. He was preceded in death by his son Maurice Arnold.

Surviving are his wife, Addie; two daughters, Roberta and Justina; four sons, John Jr. (Linda), Jerry (Tiffany), Terry (Andrea), Dionta (Amy), all of Ohio; two brothers, the Rev. Andrew (Pat) of Dublin and Tommy (Jackie) of Alexandria, Va.; one sister, Louella (Joe) Calfee; 32 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Blacksburg, Va. at 12 noon Monday, January 23. The Rev. Daryl Beamer will officiate. Family and friends will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 noon the same day. Burial West Dublin Cemetery. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
