Andrews, John O.

John O. Andrews, 77, of 1786 Newbern Road, Pulaski passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2006 at his home. He was born in Radford on Oct. 1, 1928 and was the son of the late Roy G. Andrews and Louise Lester Andrews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Terry R. Andrews.

He was a veteran having served in the United States Army and was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Surviving are: wife of 52 years, Leona T. Andrews, Pulaski; brother, Carl G. Andrews and wife Libby, Pulaski; nephew, Carl D. Andrews and wife Cheryl, Myrtle Beach, S. C.; God grandson, James ?Dusty? Andrews and wife April and daughter Adele Andrews, Pulaski; two special friends who were just like his children, Gary and Glenna Cox, Pulaski.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the Newbern Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Thursday evening from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorials be made to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church Parsonage Fund or the Pavilion Fund.
