Altizer, Neoma Bailey

Neoma Irene Altizer, 87 of Christiansburg, passed away May 29, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Oakley Altizer; daughter, Melissa Elaine Altizer; sister, Dorothy Harmon; brother-in-law, Fred Harmon; brother, Edward Bailey; nephew, Mark Harmon; niece, Shirley Buchanan; and parents, John W. and Irene Bailey.

Neoma is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Wagenbrenner, Denise Altizer, Kimberly Altizer; grandchildren, Matthew Lee (Jennifer), Melissa Lee Kanode (Kris); great-grandchildren, Kaylia and Hunter, Oakley and Elaine; as well as special niece, Linda Bonds.

Neoma worked at Imperial Reading until it closed then went to work at Big Lots until she retired. She loved to travel with family and friends on cruises and bus tours. She went to Bible Baptist Church until she was not physically able to go.

The family would like to thank Medi Hospice and Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford.

Visitation is Friday, June 6, 2025 from 12-1 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be conducted at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Wells officiating.
