I have Alvie’s brother’s, Paul H. Altizer, Purple Heart along with certificate. Paul died in France, during WWII on July 5, 1944, I have been able to track down Alvie as his brother through a newspaper article that I found on the internet where their mother, Mrs, G.W. Altizer was featured as receiving the news from the army that her son, Paul died while serving his county, Would there be a way that you could contact Alvie’s nearest relatives and give them my contact info. I have photos of the medal and certificate if you would like me to email them to you. Thank you for your help.

Actually, I just read in the obituary that Alvie was Alvie JUNIOR so this would have made him Alvie Senior’s son….Paul H. Altizer’s nephew. Thank you. Suzie
