Alexander, Clayborne Stafford

Clayborne Stafford Alexander, age 88 of Wythe County passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Northern Regional Hospital, Mt. Airy, N.C.

Born In Carroll County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Charles Ingram Alexander and Minnie Nicatie Alexander Hamblin. He was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Burnette and a number of sisters and brothers.

He retired from RAAP with over 30 years of service.

Grandchildren – Jessica (Kyle) Hodge, Heather Burnette, Kincie Burnette, Ryan (Bri) Weikel and Audrey Weikel

Great Grandchildren – Roslyn Hodge, Charlie Hodge, Ginny Weikel, Ryan Wisdom, Liam Weikel, Alex Dorton and Kaige Dorton

Brother- Nathaniel Alexander – OH

Brothers-in-law – Henry Jennings – Pulaski County and Bobby Bates – Danville

Many nieces, nephews and extended family

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 PM – October 4, 2023 in the Bower Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Interment will follow in the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Wythe County.
