ALDERMAN, Alvin Sherley

Alvin Sherley Alderman, 79, of Floyd, passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Alice S. Alderman, Floyd; son, Mark Neil Alderman, Floyd; stepson, Roy Alton West, Tampa, Fla.; brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and Margaret Alderman, Hillsville; sisters and brother-in-law, Lillian Hawks, Fancy Gap, Ethel Marie Alderman, Hillsville, Willadean and Orlis Nester, Hillsville; sister-in-law, Dorothy S. Epperly and husband, Lane; stepgrandchildren, Danny West, Bruce West; special friend, Jimmy Bowers.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Maberry Funeral Home.
