Akers, Julian Ray

Julian Ray Akers, 62, of Floyd, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Etha Akers.

Survivors include sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Clyde Weeks, Chicago, Ill., Betty and Oscar Jones, Phyllis Butterworth, all of Floyd; nephews, Michael Weeks, Donnie Weeks, Steve Wood, Raymond Butterworth; nieces, Linda Weeks, Michelle Price.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at the Lester Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Maberry Funeral Home.
