Twine, James Howard
James Howard Twine, affectionately known as “Howard,” went home to be in the Heavenly Choir on Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was born September 2, 1933.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Corene “Jackson” Twine; his father, Junior Edward Twine, known as “Ed”; his wife, Mary Magdalene “Wiley” Twine; his brothers, Deacon Charles E. Twine known as “Roy”and Lawrence Twine known as “Buttercup”; two sisters, Mildred Twine Jackson known as “Fluzzie”and Dorothy Twine Bradford” known as “Dot”.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Teresa “Twine” McNease (Earl) of Locust Grove, and Dennis (Alma) Twine of Salem; two grandchildren, Angela Twine of Stafford and Leslie Habershon of Roanoke; two stepgrandchildren, Stacy (Anja) Muse (Germany), Michelle Leavelle of Greensboro, N.C.; and eight great- grandchildren; host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
He was employed at Norfolk & Western Railroad as a Track Forman for 30 years.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church, Elliston, on thursday, December 15, 2016. Visitation at 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m.
