Bailey, Macy Irene

Macy “Irene” Bailey of Narrows, born March 14, 1927, passed peacefully November 18 2016. She had a special love for furry friends, art, gardening and music. She played the banjo, guitar, electric organ and auto harp.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was so loved by those who knew her well.

She leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Harry Bailey, a daughter Patty Shepherd and husband Jerry of TN. A son Steve Bailey and wife Connie of Narrows. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff Bailey and grandson Devin Bailey. Also surviving are her grandchildren Keith Shepherd and wife Rayne and great-grandaughter Sarah, Josh Shepherd and wife Jerica, all of TN.

She leaves behind her brothers Mark and Basil Trivett and Fran Trivett. A host of nephews and nieces, and very special friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 21st, 2016 from 5:30 to 7 PM, followed by a memorial service at 7 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to American Cancer Society.
