Marvin, Shirleigh McDaniel

Shirleigh McDaniel Marvin, age 86, of Blacksburg died, Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Lewis-Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Raleigh, NC on February 1, 1930 to the late Ronald Bruce Warner and Louise Stephens Warner.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband James Richard McDaniel, her second husband Frank Freeman Marvin, sister Louise Warner Wells, and daughter-in-law Sharon Marvin.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Gary D. and Jane Marvin, R. Gordon Marvin, and F. Freeman and Monica Marvin, grandchildren Kimberly, Cody, Skyler, Shaun, Ava and Marlaina, and great-grandchildren Mallory, Levi, Garrett and Liam.

Shirleigh lived her life devoted to the Lord and was an active, long-time member of Blacksburg Christian Fellowship.

A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00pm Saturday November 19, 2016 at Blacksburg Christian Fellowship, Blacksburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make Way Partners, www.makewaypartners.org. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
