Graves, James C. (Bunny)

James C. (Bunny) Graves, age 74, of Christiansburg on Wednesday October 12, 2016 while surrounded by family, Angels carried James to his heavenly home to be reunited with his family and friends.

He was born February 14, 1942 to the late Dillard and Lillian Graves; and is also preceded in death by his brothers, Clinton and Curtis Graves.

He is survived by the love of his life, Barbara Miles; and his number one boy Festus Hagan, daughter Rosemary (J.R.) Bourne Standersville; grandsons Michael (Cheryl) Standersville, Jason (Desiree) Bourne, Buchanan; three great-grandsons; six great-granddaughters; sisters, Freda king, Reda Hixon, Shirley Sheppard, Ruth Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; special nieces and nephews, Peggy Richardson, Angela Shrewsbury, Sarah Brusseau, Heather Thomas, Ronnie Davis, Alan Price.

A special thanks to Carilion hospice’s nurses Alta and Nichole, and Oak Grove Church for all their support. James will be missed by many.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11:00am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in the Harless Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive S.W. Blacksburg, Va 24060.
