Wheeler, Kendall Wesley

amem_sunset-mountainsKendall Wesley Wheeler, 92 of Pearisburg, passed away Wednesday, October 5th, 2016. He was born in Narrows in 1924, and was the son of the late Everett W. Wheeler and Alta Wheeler Coburn.

In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Mae Stone Wheeler; a brother, John Vincent Wheeler; and a sister, Shirley Wheeler.

Kendall was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and a retired employee of Celanese in Narrows.

Left to cherish his memory are a son, Dr. Kyle W. Wheeler and wife Kimberly of Forest, Virginia; a daughter, Dianne W. Kindlick and husband Thomas of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Lindsay Defrancisco and husband Jonathan, Emily O’Laughlin and husband Sean, Richard Wheeler and wife Jennifer, and Cameron Kindlick; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Jean B. Wheeler of Bedford, Virginia; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 10th, 2016 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows. Burial will be private.
