Garrison, Morris Floyd

Morris Floyd Garrison, 66, of Woodcrafter Lane, Newport, departed this life Monday morning, September 19, 2016 at his home in the care of hospice and dear friends. Born in Richmond on July 7, 1950 he was a son of the late Morris Floyd Sr and Della Poindexter Garrison.

Morris was always a student in many fields at Virginia Tech, a musician, an artist in several mediums, and a skilled woodworker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert Douglas Garrison.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Ginger Garrison of Crozier, and April Straus of Richmond; his dog Jackson and his beloved nephews and neice.

In honor and keeping with his wishes there will be no funeral services following cremation. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
