Cooper, George Walter

George Walter Cooper, age 63, of Lafayette died, Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Heritage Hall. He was born in Christiansburg, Va. on June 3, 1953 to the late Archie and Odessa Hunter Cooper. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Epperly Cooper, daughter, Heather Bentley, brother, Mike Cooper, sisters, Teresa Cooper and companion, Gary Poff, Vanessa Kennedy, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ray and Edith Epperly, sister-in-law, Debbie Garnand, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Teresa Epperly, special aunt, Ellen Linkous, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm prior to the service Saturday afternoon at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW.
