Fisher, John Lenwood

Our precious Dad, John Lenwood Fisher, of Pulaski, left us on Saturday morning, August 6, 2016 with us by his side. Dad’s priority was always family and friends. He left us with the greatest examples on how to live and die; strength and dignity, all with a smile. His stories and laughter will continue to live with us.

Dad was born December 17, 1933 to Recie and Ivan Fisher at home in Pulaski, Va. He is joining them and our Mom, Norma. Also gone before him were three brothers, Wise, Doug, and Jimmy Fisher; and two sisters, Kitty Terry and Mable Dawn Coe.

He leaves behind his precious little dog, Baby; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Greg Bolden, and Sherry and JR Martin; three grandchildren, Leigh Anne and Jon Bolden, and the Reverend Jabe and wife, Amber Largen; three great grandchildren, Ella, Isaiah, and Olivia Largen; two sisters, Libby Andrews and Becky Dalton; and best friends/family, Sophia and Carl Martin.

Family is accepting visitors at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Chapel with a memorial service beginning at 7 p.m. The Reverend Jabe Largen will be officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers, Dad requested donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
