Albert, Nancy Blair
Nancy Blair Albert, age 94, of Longshop died Friday, July 22, 2016, at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on January 20, 1922 to the late Harvey Burnet “Cal” and Helen Whitescarver Albert and was also preceded in death by her husband Herbert Henderson Albert.
She was a life long member of Shiloh Lutheran Church serving as a Sunday school teacher, and loved to garden and was an avid reader.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry H. and Harriet L. Albert, of Longshop, Michael Terry and Suzanne B. Albert, of Whitethorne; her special grandchildren, Shannon Albert (Candice), Michelle Albert Linkous, (Donnie), Herbie Albert, Kim Albert, Annie Albert, Nikki Albert; special great-grandchildren, Hunter Wade Linkous, Ashlyn Grace Linkous, Lucas Grant Albert, Jesse Richards, McKenzie, Makayla, Hunter, and Dakota Dove; special friends Nelda Graves, her church family and her community.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Shiloh Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Bansemer officiating. Interment will follow in the Harless Cemetery, Longshop. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. William Cox and Aja Buhler NP, and the nursing staff at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery and the English Meadows Senior Center.
