Morris Jr., Elgene “E.B.”

Elgene Brittian “E.B.” Morris Jr., 71, of Dublin, passed away, Thursday, June, 30, 2016, in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Giles County on Oct. 9, 1944, he was the son of the late, Elgene Brittian Morris Sr. and Annie Mae Moles Morris. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Annie Mae Anderson, Grace Crane, Janet Shumate and Jean McPeak.

E.B. was an electrical contractor, served in the National Guard and was a member of the Dublin Christian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sadie Sheppard Morris; sons and daughter-in-law, Aaron Morris, Peter and Kandy Morris; sisters and spouse, Mabel King, June King, Patsy Carr, Carol and Bob Marbel; brother and spouse, Larry and Theresa Morris; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Dublin Christian Church with the Rev. Terry Hodge, Rev. Richie Goad and Rev. Clifton McLawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery, Pulaski County.

The family will receive friends, from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Dublin Christian Church. The family wishes that memorial gifts be given to the Dublin Christian Church, Dunlap Rd., Dublin, Va. 24084. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
