Mills, James Thomas

Rev. James Thomas Mills, 83, of Pulaski, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at his home.

James was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a minister in the New River Valley for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine E. Mills. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Turpin Mills; children, Mary M. Porter, Patricia M. Reynolds, Shirley M. Hunt, Larry T. Mills, Gary L. Mills, Ronnie E. Mills; 14 grandchildren, and seven step children also survive.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at the Radford Worship Center, 1820 Second Street, Radford, Va. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at the Radford Worship Center, with the Rev. Rudolph Woods officiating. Entombment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens
