Johnson, William Lawrence

William Lawrence Johnson, 84, of Pulaski, Va., died Sunday evening, July 19, 2009, at his home. Born May 22, 1925, in Missouri, he was the son of the late Fred William and Lulu Johnson. He was a retired employee of Hercules Inc., and a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, Lawrence, Kan.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice S. Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas W. and Susan B. Spraker, Freddey V. and Margie M. Spraker, and Woodson S. Spraker; sisterin-law, Betty Ann Johnson; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Betty Spraker.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009, from the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, Va., with the Rev. Bill Roland officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, July 22, 2009, from 6 until 8 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
