Dillon, Kathleen Hazel

Kathleen Hazel Dillon, 90, of Newport, Va., died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Heritage Hall. She was born in Parrott, Va., on July 27, 1918, to the late Ray Harvey and Margie Belle Albert Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, King William Dillon; six brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, John A. and Frances Dillon, of Salem, and Earl W. and Shirley S. Dillon, of Newport; grandson, John Brad Dillon and wife, Crystal, of Roanoke; granddaughter, Jacqueline D. Delp, of Rock, W.Va.; stepgrandson, Timothy D. Maxey, of Salem; six greatgrandchildren; five sisters, Lola Dowdy, Dorothy Reynolds, Mary Dowdy, and Josephine Farley, all of Blacksburg, and Pansy Smith, of Pulaski; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Graves officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Newport Rescue Squad, 418 Bluegrass Trail, Newport, Va. 24128. Friends may call anytime after noon on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, and the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg, Va.
