Summers, Gary Robert

Gary Robert Summers, age 80, passed away January 12, 2016. Gary was born January 11, 1936 in Wichita, KS and retired from the construction machinery industry. He was a long time member of the Floyd Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas Mann. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carlotta Birkhead Summers of Willis, VA, one son Steven Robert Summers (wife, Lori) of Willis, VA, daughter Kathy Mann (husband, Michael) of West Jefferson, NC, daughter Melinda Simmons (husband, Tony) of Franklin, TN, 9 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00pm at Floyd Church of Christ in Floyd, VA. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.
