Brown, Norma Lambert

Norma Lambert Brown, 72, of Rich Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 14, 2006 at her home.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born December 17, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Druey Davis and Ora Gray Thomas Lambert. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Hill and Ruby Reed; two brothers, Druey D. “Buck” Lambert and Bobby Joe Lambert; and a nephew, Terrial D. Thompson.

A graduate of Narrows High School, she was a former employee of Appalachian Power in Glen Lyn and a faithful member of the Church of Christ at Glen Lyn. She was also an active member of the VFW Post #6000 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Brown; one son, Barry Edward Brown; one sister, Agnes Neely; five nieces, Judy Holiday, Donna Rorrer, Kathy Burnett, Kimberly Bane and Tammy Lindsey; and five nephews, Roger Reed, Jeff Reed, Johnny Reed, Greg Reed and Mike Hill.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Tony Reed, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
