Forbes, Lillian Crosby

Lillian Crosby Forbes, 85, of Radford, Va., passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mollie and Charlie Crosby; her brother, Wilburn; sisters, Virginia and Amy; and her husband, William Forbes.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Cleon Basham, of Christiansburg; and two granddaughters and their husbands, Jamie and Paul Rizak, of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Amanda and Danny Collins, of Christiansburg.

We would like to thank Carilion Hospice and Dr. Lee; her caregivers, Lois, Irene, Bonnie, Linda and Alice, for their great care of my mother; and neighbors, Mary Anne and Hazel.

Funeral services, and a memorial service for William Forbes who died October 2006, will be held 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor John Collins officiating. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, in the Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, N.C. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
